Master of Science in Nursing:

Provides students the opportunity to become acute care nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, adult clinical nurse specialists, clinical nurse leaders, or nursing administrators in a variety of roles, including case managers. The MSN program may be completed in sixteen months, or at an optional slower pace. Upon completing requirements for the MSN with specialization in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner tracks, graduates will be eligible to take national certification examinations.

Clinical Nurse Leader

In response to the increasing complexity of health care systems and the emphasis on quality patient care, the UAH College of Nursing is offering a NEW master's program: Clinical Nurse Leader.

The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) oversees the clinical plans of specific patients to improve patient outcomes, ensure quality care and reduce costs. The CNL integrates emerging nursing science and the application of evidence based practice into caring for patients and families.
