Provides students the opportunity to become acute care nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, adult clinical nurse specialists, clinical nurse leaders, or nursing administrators in a variety of roles, including case managers. The MSN program may be completed in sixteen months, or at an optional slower pace. Upon completing requirements for the MSN with specialization in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner tracks, graduates will be eligible to take national certification examinations.

Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist

This advanced practice nurse is an expert clinician and client advocate in a nursing practice specialty with adults. They provide direct client care including assessing, diagnosing, planning and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions for health problems, health promotion and preventive care. Practice settings include hospitals, clinics and community health agencies.
