The 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree provides the nursing theory, science, humanities, and behavioral science preparation necessary for the full scope of professional nursing responsibilities, and provides the knowledge base necessary for advanced education in specialized clinical practice.
Freshmen must meet the lower division requirements.
Lower Division (freshman and sophomore levels): 60 Semester Hours
All BSN students, including transfer students,Written Composition (6 semester hours)
English Composition I & II (6 semester hours)Humanities and Fine Arts (12 semester hours)
Literature (3-6 semester hours) Students must complete a 6-semester-hour sequence in either literature or history with a minimum of 3 semester hours in the other discipline.Philosophy or Ethics (3 semester hours)
