Bachelor of Science in Nursing:
for Registered Nurses
Specifically designed for Registered Nurses to obtain their BSN online. This program of study offers flexible options and opportunities for part-time study. Keeping the special needs of RNs in mind, the RN to BSN program is designed to meet the following criteria:
- The program normally begins in the fall semester.
- An on campus orientation is provided at the beginning of the fall semester.
- Classes are online with 1-2 on campus meetings per semester.
- Clinical sessions will be held an average of six times during the spring semester, on a different day of the week than your academic classes.
- The curriculum can be completed in one year (fall, spring, and summer semesters), although part-time options are available.
- Clinical faculty arrange clinical experiences in the students' geographical area whenever feasible.
Students enrolled in the BSN for Registered Nurses program must meet the same lower division requirements as all other undergraduate students.
Lower Division (freshman and sophomore): 60 Semester Hours
UAH participates in the Alabama Articulation Agreement with Alabama junior and community colleges. Students planning to transfer credits to UAH from one of these schools are encouraged to complete courses equivalent to those listed below.Written Composition (6 semester hours)
