Annual Health Fair

The UAHuntsville College of Nursing will present their 9th Annual Health Fair on Friday, November 20th 2009. The Health Fair is a project of the Advanced Practice Nursing Program in cooperation with the Faculty and Staff Clinic and Wellness Center.

The Health Fair is designed to provide valuable health care information to the UAHuntsville community. Student Nurse Practitioners will have information on various health matters such as heart disease, men's and women's health issues, and children's safety and health. The Health Fair starts at 10 AM and lasts until 2 PM in the College of Nursing Building off Holmes Avenue.

A key focus of the fair is to promote the roles of Nurse Practitioners. Various screenings that will be performed will include blood pressure, blood sugar, bone density, and cholesterol.

The Red Cross bloodmobile will be available to conduct a blood drive sponsored by the College.
