Distance Learner Readiness Checklist

To use this checklist, simply answer "Yes" or "No" to each of the statements listed. Be honest with yourself and decide for yourself if Distance Education is right for you!  This is not a scientific survey.  Use the results as part of your decision.  If you do not currently have skills, etc, support is available for those who are dedicated...

13. I am goal directed- if I set my sights on an end result, I usually achieve it
14. I am not a procrastinator- I like to get things done in a timely manner
15. I do not necessarily need face-to-face contact with my professor every week
16. I am in control of my time and I decide how to use it
17. I consider myself an adult learner
18. I am confident of my academic abilities
19. I do not give up easily, even when confronted with obstacles
20. I believe that I am responsible for my own learning- what I learn or do not learn is ultimately my responsibility
